Our LIVE | PERFORM | COMPETE group classes program is designed to meet the needs of our large and varied community. Train alongside doctors, lawyers, business executives, teachers, accomplished athletes, and retired grandparents: all of whom share the desire to be healthier and happier.
Our members come from all different athletic backgrounds and ability levels; some are just starting their journey into fitness and health, some are a couple of years along, while others are competing in high-level fitness competitions both locally and abroad. As coaches, it is our responsibility to understand the different needs and goals of our clients and give them a platform from which they can constantly improve.
This is why we have 3 distinct training groups within our group program, known as Live, Perform, and Compete.
A balanced strength and conditioning program designed for those looking to excel in life.
The Live program is for individuals who enjoy mixed modal fitness training, but do not have aspirations to be competitive in the sport of CrossFit.
The goal of the program is to prepare people for the varying demands of life, by building structurally balanced, strong, and fit individuals.
The Live program is a progressive training program – developing strength is seen as a major priority for this group: we achieve this through the prescription of weightlifting (basic olympic lifting), powerlifting, (squat, deadlift and pressing variations) and functional bodybuilding.
We also believe that having a strong aerobic base is important for the demands of daily life, so the program aims to develop our cardiovascular fitness across a broad variety of time domains. We make use of monostructural training modalities like rowing, the air-bike, and running, but we also love the benefits that mixed modal conditioning (circuit style training) provides.
There are 5 sessions a week, and each training session can be performed within a 60 minute window.
A training program for the crossfitter looking to Rx every workout in stage 1 of the CrossFit Open.
The Perform program is for people looking to improve in the sport of CrossFit, and are on their way to mastering all of the core movements within this sport.
The program is highly structured and progressive, but it also places an emphasis on developing balanced fitness, without sacrificing health. Those following the Perform program, are generally athletes that have adequate experience when it comes to the sport of CrossFit.
The Perform program is a progressive training program – each training block has a specific set of objectives, which are communicated to our members weekly. This program is closely tied to the CrossFit calendar, and one of the objectives is to prepare our members for the CrossFit Open every October. This program exposes athletes to a variety of CrossFit style movements, such as kipping, inversions, olympic lifting, and intense energy system training.
There are 5 sessions a week, and optional accessory work provided. Sessions can be completed in 60-90 minutes.
A training program for the advanced crossfitter looking to compete in the sport, and qualify to stage 2 of the CrossFit Open.
Our Compete program is designed for the athlete that wants to be competitive in the sport of CrossFit.
The goal of the compete program is to prepare our athletes as best as possible for the annual CrossFit open, while simultaneously exposing them to movements that are frequently tested in arena-based competitions (local/regional competitions, CrossFit sanctioned events, etc). Athletes who follow this program have had multiple years of exposure to the sport, and can complete all of the core movements with a high degree of efficiency.
The Compete program is a progressive training program – each training block has a specific set of objectives, which are communicated to our members weekly. This program is closely tied to the CrossFit calendar, and one of the objectives is to prepare our followers for the CrossFit open every October.
There are 5 sessions a week, which also includes daily accessory work, to help better prepare athletes for the varying demands of the sport. The sessions can typically be completed in 90 minutes.
We have implemented an athlete tracking software into this program, which allows you to log everything and anything that you do on a training day.
As a coaching team, we regularly review the results that are entered into the system, which in turn allows us to modify the training stimulus to suit the needs of the continuously evolving groups.
There is science behind the madness after all.
